Wayne Kanemoto

Corporal Wayne Kanemoto has served in the University of California, Riverside Police Department since 1991. He was a Community Service Officers while attending UCR, where in 1992 he received his B.A. in Political Science with a cooperative in Law and Society. One of two Asian Americans with UCRPD, Wayne is the first Asian American Sergeant. He was a member of the University Neighborhood Enhancement Team, a joint task force between the University Police and the Riverside City Police Department. He is currently the Defensive Tactics and Impact Weapons Instructor for the Department and is active as a member of the Department's Honor Guard.
